Our S.T.O.R.M. (Special Team of Role Models) Team is part of our Junior
Instructor program, which is designed to help our students eventually become
instructors at our school as well as ambassadors of the martial arts and good
citizens within the community. In their karate classes they are set apart from the
rest of the students with their different uniform tops and their placement in the
class. Before class they are set in stations to help the other students of the
school, such as holding doors open, making sure people are being safe on the
mats, and other leadership roles. In their training, we focus especially on the first
three character qualities we teach in our karate classes—Self-Control, Respect
and Self-Discipline.
